Crocs crush KuPS in Bursa 6-0 |
Bursaspor and Eskişehirspor, the two teams in UEFA Europa League action, both enjoyed contrasting fortunes in third round second leg matches on Thursday. Bursaspor, aka the Green Crocs, determined to overturn the 1-0 deficit from the first leg, was just ruthless against Finnish side KuPS at Atatürk Stadium in Bursa. The desperate Crocs banged in a total of six goals -- three in each half -- to advance 6-1 on aggregate.
“The [Europa League] campaign goes on,” visibly happy Bursaspor coach Ertuğrul Saglam said after his team’s resounding rout of KuPS.
The goal-scorers for the Crocs were: İbrahim Öztürk (22nd minute), Sebastian Pinto (28th and 48th), Pablo Batalla (36th), Alfred N’Diaye (46th) and Ozan Tufan (71st).
