Bursaspor has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with coach Hikmet Karaman and brought Süha Sidal in as the club's football manager.
Coach Karaman arrived in Bursa on Thursday to sign the contract. Speaking at the signing ceremony, he said he understood the difficult nature of his job. “Bursaspor is a team that has won the Turkish league title, played in the [European] Champions League and taken part in UEFA Cup [Europa Cup]. I aim to take this team to greater heights,” he said. Karaman replaced coach Ertuğrul Sağlam, who made a name for himself as a coach at Bursaspor but left the club in late January after disappointing results in the league and Turkish Cup.
